| Bathroom Vanity Table Remodel |
The History Of
The Vanity Table
By Jim Olio
The
Victorian vanity tables were quite elaborate and came with intricate detailing.
Often early American vanity tables might have been made from mahogany and had
curved cabriole legs whilst others would have been made from solid walnut with
claw feet.
During
the Arts and Crafts movement of the early 1900's the "mission oak" vanity table
was created with straight lines. But as the 1920's progressed and sound was
added to movies the vanity table became a focal point in bedrooms and some were
known as Hollywood vanities.
Plus
there were the Art Moderne metal dressing tables also gaining popularity which
were streamlined and had artificial wood graining. But by the late 1940's and
early 1950's the vanity table was being made from selected hardwoods.
Change The Bathroom Vanity
Furniture
By Tim Lee
Adding
new vanity furniture can change the mood of a bathroom for better and more
pleasurable experience. Choose your vanity furniture wisely. Set the tone of
your bathroom design by adding the right, well chosen quality center piece
vanity when remodeling bathrooms. Bathroom vanities come in differentstyles and finishes, like hand painted to distressed furniture and from
ornately carved to minimalist and functional straight lines.
Bedroom
vanities can well be used as bathroom furniture if it fits. Even in a small
bathroom, there always matches a small shelf or chest to furnish it. Even a
small chair or any piece of furniture can add character to otherwise boring,
small bathroom. But if space is not a problem in a bathroom, then adding bigger
furniture like bigger vanity cabinet or vanity table should not be a problem.
Hardy furniture such as concrete stone counter-tops gives a more masculinelook to a bathroom.
